Job Section Front OfficeMain purpose of Job Assist Island Host Manager to manage the Island Host section by professional, efficient and flexible service, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through LSHS. To maximize and exceed guest’s satisfaction by providing highly personalized, efficient and responsive service with attention to details, by anticipating guest’s needs. To take ownership and leadership of all villas assigned to him/her including supervising, directing, assisting and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest villas. Island Host is instrumental in achieving goal and targets set by resort and the departments providing the highest professional standards to the guests.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
GENERIC ACTIVITIES
Maintains a high standard of appearance and grooming standards always, as per LUX* Resorts standard. Apply and adhere to rules and regulations as per employee handbook, departmental and resort policies and procedures, including those for the emergency situations Develop and maintain an understanding of the overall organization’s Vision, Purpose, Values and Pledges. At all times to project a favorable image of LUX* North Male Atoll Resort to the guests and public. The Island Host ensures a minimum of two personalized services is offered to guests during their stay. He is the reference team member for guests during their stay. Handles any guest’s complaint in a professional manner, as per resort’s Policy & Procedure (service recovery/Bounce Back). Ensures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the Resorts policies and procedures and Maldivian Law. Maintain knowledge of the LUX* North Male Atoll and local area. Attend all departmental meetings/briefing and training. Be aware of your work schedule and give adequate notice whenever serious circumstances prevent your adhering to your schedule. Attends to guest’s requests and queries courteously and promptly. Takes personal care to recognize special days of guest such as anniversaries, birthdays and takes the initiative to provide them an WOW experience. Ensures that the IHM/AFOM/FOM is informed immediately of any unusual incidents, complaints, unauthorized persons in the villa, missing or damaged Resort properties and lost and found items. Executes other tasks as requested within the Front Office Operation. Communicates promptly and efficiently, team members/customer complaints and compliments regardless of how small they may be and treat in a fair and equal manner. Attends and participates in required training related to the job and the team events. To effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleagues at all levels. Assure professional attitude towards guest and colleagues always. To be conscious and responsible regarding energy and water conservation. Maintains highest levels of personal hygiene always. To ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all work areas. To be fully aware about all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures. Make sure to adhere buggy policy and procedure at all the time and clean and maintain the buggies before using them for guest service. Responsible to report any potential hazardous situations within the work place.To keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significanceSPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
Work closely with all other departments with regards to the day to day operation. Uphold the LUX* North Male Atoll culture by demonstrating the lifestyle standards at all times to guests and fellow team member. Analyze and respond to guest satisfaction survey and give positive/corrective feedback to keep improving product and performance. Take proactive action towards protecting the resort environment and support resort activities. Ensures guests are personally welcomed, greeted on arrival and bid farewell upon departure. Safeguard security deposit standard amount from the guest upon arrival and post them in to Opera as per the LNMA standard. Ensure to send the guest preference email to all the concerned departments after the check-in process is completed. (Eg: Preferred name, MP, Dietary requirements, discounts etc…) Offers guest villa orientation on arrival. Reports any issues and guest-related incidents to IHM/AFOM/FOM. Actively obtains guest preferences information, and updates to guest profile continuously. Actively promotes the daily events, activities and promotions to the guests and assist the guests in making necessary arrangements coordinating with relevant departments. Island Host is responsible for engaging guest, leading activities with the guest, help guest to learn about all resort activities and up sell activities, events, reasons and promotions by giving adequate information inviting guest to participate in any resort activities available and beyond to create activities. Escort guest on excursions, activities and events and personally go on excursion/events with them when required. Should personally escort guests with the buggy whenever and where ever possible. Eg: Arrival & Departure, Escorting to restaurants etc. Check and coordinates with F&B and HK to replenish and the Mini Bar, Daily Fruits, Ice, and Turn down service amenities. Offers to unpack or pack guest luggage as per LUX* Resort standards. Offers pressing to guests upon arrival and ensure first pressing is on house. Coordinates with HK to take care of guest laundry as per LUX* Resorts standards. Maintain guests’ wardrobe in a neat, tidy fashion at all times and clean and polishes guests’ shoes if required. Anticipate guest’s needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other team members. Handle guest inquires such as special IVD arrangements, Excursions, Restaurant and Spa reservations etc. in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to IHM/AFOM/FOM if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests. Is continuously searching for new guest enhancement opportunities.JOB REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Graduate with previous experience in a similar role Minimum 2 years in hospitality industry Confident and outgoing Excellent attention to details Organized and self-motivated Team Player Understand of Hospitality industry and focus on remote Island operations.QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION
