Support MVS and ensure that contractors and subs comply with applicable, local laws and regulations pertaining to motor vehicle operations by providing best practices, coaching and audits. The position improves MVS safety by providing recommendations and guidance on MVS procedure and compliance programs.

Job Description:

Provide MVS support to project teams and ensure that transportation contracting companies meet or exceed MVS and regulatory standards and expectations
Engage with contractor driving workforce (meetings; toolbox, etc) to promote safe driving culture, improve driving performance, compliance to traffic rules and MVS standards.
Support IVMS process to ensure positive trend in contractor driving performance. Ensure IVMS data is properly and regularly communicated to drivers. Coach contractors on IVMS issues.
Review unsafe driving events, provide recommendations and ensure respective actions taken to correct and eliminate unsafe driving behavior.
Work with local transportation companies improving their drivers, vehicle management and vehicle maintenance standards improving reliability and availability. Ensure driving workforce meet qualification and experience criteria and requirements.
Verify Contractors MVS processes have been developed and deployed and meet project MVS expectations.
Develop Site Traffic Management Plans
Act as a liaison between MVS, projects teams and respective contractors on MVS aspects
Advice on road safety management strategies, traffic management planning and dynamic risk reduction strategies.
Communicate progress of MVS process implementation and continues improvement to key stakeholders
Improve risk understanding and assist contractors in developing their internal capabilities to develop and improve MVS.
Support contractors motor vehicle safety process through quality control and quality assurance.
Support IIR process – participate in MVC investigations and follow up AI whenever necessary.
Other duties as defined by MVS Coordinator / HES Manager

Job Requirement:

Able to deal with evolving situations in a fast moving environment
PC competency, strong administrative acumen, well organized with strong communication skills
Self-starting behavior and ability to work independently
In depth knowledge and experience in the MVS process requirements
Strong written & oral and presentation skills with the ability to lead meetings
Ability to establish direction, coach and mentor less experienced staff
Effective skills in working as a member of multi-disciplinary teams
Experience as an HES professional in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry preferred
Engineering/Mechanical background is recommended
