Purpose of the job:

Lead and inspire your team to ensure positive and joyful shopping experience to secure customers and increased sales and profitability in your store. You achieve this using you knowledge of the IKEA product range, the local market, competition and customers.

Assignment:

Drive towards a consistent, seamless positive customer experience through all channels.
• Deliver and lead the commercial action plan for your store with the customer in focus.
• Plan and determine your department's resources and investments.
• Based on your local market insight ensure your store is locally relevant throughout the different sales channels.
• Together with relevant stakeholders support achievement of agreed goals and KPIs for the store, maximise sales, long-term profitability and improve customer experience.
• Secure successful implementation of country priorities and existing good solutions.
• Ensure your managers understand the multichannel retail environment and know how to use this in the best and most commercial way for different customers.
• Analyse the performance of your store using IKEA research tools to improve the IKEA mechanical sales system and easy buying process through all channels.
• Identify and develop the many talents within the department to secure competent and high-performing leaders and teams, and proper succession planning.
• Contribute to the IKEA social and environmental commitments.

Requirements:

• Ability to lead business through people by demonstrating strong leadership capabilities;
• Sales experience, management of a large team, passion for customers
• Ability to understand the key principles of the shopping experience and customer expectations.
• Ability to make things happen with flexibility, speed and simplicity.
• Sound understanding of business and background gained from working in a customer-focused fast-paced and multichannel retail environment.
• Ability to align customer needs and expectations with business needs in relevant channels;
• Understand profit and loss and how to affect its result through departmental actions
• Ability to prioritize and organize own work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available
• Experience of adapting to different styles of working to get the best out of all the team (situational leadership)
• Ability and possibility to take the position of a Store Commercial Manager in 6 months
