Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional copy-editor to copy-edit short books (approx. 10,000−15,000 words, between 8−12 chapters) on large corporations, heads of state or, sometimes, countries, on a part-time basis.

Subject areas may include financial performance, environmental and social performance, company/personal history, achievements and milestones, future focus, subsidiaries and partnerships, community work and sponsorships.

Our publications are written in the style of corporate reports with a lively narrative based on accurate and well-researched material.

We require someone to assist our operations and ensure our publications are accurate, free of errors, easy to follow and meet our set guidelines.

Skills

• An excellent command of English

• Extensive experience in copy-editing, proofreading and reviewing business documents.

• Must be a meticulous researcher.

• Strong communicator able to clarify author’s intentions and maintain high standards.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, particularly editing and reviewing functions.
