About the Opportunity
An opportunity to join the Lviv branch of a British based start-up with clients across the globe, the candidate would have proven WordPress experience, ability to visualise the final solution with little direction, as well as the ability to communicate the story and direction to stakeholders. With at least 3 years professional experience, as the WordPress Developer you will be really passionate about web development and have a blazing desire to stay on top of new technologies and practices. You’ll be hardworking, talented and passionate about solving technical problems.
Required skills
Excellent understanding of WordPress
Must be fluent in communication in English
Proven ability using PHP, MySQL, HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript (including the jQuery library)
Experience in building and implementing new WordPress features and custom plugins
Experience implementing and testing third party WordPress plugins
WordPress Custom Function / Query Development
Experience writing clean, maintainable and commented code
Strong communication skills and the ability to work and communicate with people with varying levels of technical ability
Excellent technical skills with a good understanding of the core technologies, principles and practices
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and to pass on your knowledge to others
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Linux and Apache is advantageous (or willing to learn)
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and/or Sketch
Knowledge of cPanel and WPengine hosting platform
Experience integrating external social networking sites
Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
