WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

SPS Commerce’s Fulfillment team works on the heart of our product — a highly scalable, highly available cloud-based web application which allows the end users to manage their pipeline in the retail supplier chain, processing a hundred million of documents a year. As a Sr. Software Engineer on this team, you will likely be building JavaScript based frontend with rarely involved in some parts of Java/Python based backend, cloud-native systems within an open and agile environment.

You will be busy! You will work closely with Product Management, UX and others to understand and then translate business requirements into software design and deliverables. You will be part of a true scrum development team tasked with introducing new concepts and technologies into the product. You’ll have the tools and team to deliver fully functional code to our production environments. That means, you’ll have an understanding of how the stack works, making you a better developer with skills that go beyond a «simple coder». You’ll be familiar with all the modern tools for software development in a cloud environment.

We aren’t very good at resting on what we have already done when there are new ideas to explore that could make our solution better, stronger, faster and more efficient. We are pretty serious about that job responsibility that says you are responsible for bringing new technical ideas to our attention.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.

3+ years software development experience in a professional setting

2+ years of being at software engineer position

Good communication, architecture design, analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

English level (read/write/speaking) intermediate or higher

Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently (flexibility).
