Google is seeking Sr. DevOps Engineer(remote)

In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of dynamic and passionate architects and engineers to deliver automated infrastructure and DevOps solutions to customers. You will be responsible for deploying and automating new services, disaster recovery plan, backups and creating test environments. You will be designing and architecting automation and services as the organization expands and grows which will be defining deployment processes from AWS to GCP, Jenkins, and Docker technologies. You will be working closely with other organizations such as NOC, Site Reliability and DEVOPS teams in the greater organization.

Responsibilities:

● You will be responsible for maintenance, operations and performance of existing infrastructure. (AWS, GCP, Terraform, Docker, Teamcity, Puppet, Jenkins, Atlassian, and others)

● Architect, design, build and maintain automation of existing services and deploying new using automation.

● Disaster recovery and backups.

● Improving existing infrastructure using Terraform and Puppet.

● Senior level devops experience

● Senior Sys Admin/Technical Support

● Scripting as needed for DevOps

● Production experience with automation and cloud technologies

● Excellent communication skills and great interpersonal abilities

● Takes ownership and solve problems quickly

● CI and CD experience

Qualifications:

● 5+ years of experience managing large scale, production ​Linux​​ environments

● Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

● Keen focus on customer service and an understanding that technology solutions

must provide business value

● 5+ years of experience with common application stacks (e.g. Apache, Nginx,

Tomcat, Rails, NodeJS, PHP)

● 3+ years of experience with​configuration management ​and continuous

integration tools and concepts (e.g. Chef, Ansible, Docker, ​Puppet,​ Jenkins,

Travis CI, Hudson)

● Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL

● Strong working knowledge of Google GCP/GCE and Amazon Web Services

● Experience with networking and security concepts and technologies in a

production environment, preferably production AWS environment

● Experience with log collection tools and analysis, as well as infrastructure

performance monitoring tools and optimization practices

● Strong working experience with ​Terraform​is a plus
