Alan is the next generation Voice AI startup. We have developed the world’s first Neural Network for Spoken Language Understanding that provides intelligent voice and visual responses within existing applications. Unlike Alexa, Siri, and Google, Alan augments existing mobile and web applications. Alan understands the language spoken in every application is unique, called the domain language model and supported by Alan’s Neural Network. In real time, Alan interprets voice commands and responds back with appropriate voice and visual elements for users. The first vertical Alan solution is “Incident Intelligence” for public safety first responders in the US, AU, and NZ. Our vision is to become the de facto voice service for all applications.

We are building our R&D center in Moscow and hiring an engineer to develop Alan’s SDK and voice application for the Android platform. This is a rare opportunity to join a startup alongside a select group of entrepreneurs and engineers to create the future with Voice and AI.

Alan is headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, and has R&D operations in Moscow, RU. The founders of Alan developed the world’s first mobile video service, Qik, that Skype acquired and now does over 2B video calls every day.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the product and development team to build a voice experience and SDK for the Android platform

Take part in the definition, design, and deployment of new features

Optimize applications and SDKs

Ensure quality, performance, and responsiveness

Experience building and deploying engaging Android apps

Be able to provide technical architecture and design guidance

Good understanding and experience with multi-threaded programming

Proficiency in Java

Experience using Android SDK/NDK performance tools and optimization techniques

Understanding of state-of-the-art UI / UX and user interaction techniques in designing apps

Proficiency in C++ is a plus
