We are looking for a Java Engineer to join our team. This person will help develop data-centric applications that are responsible for driving our core business. In our highly entrepreneurial environment you will be expected to move quickly, collaborate effectively and solve challenging technical problems. You will design and develop cutting-edge cloud software solutions that are highly scalable and reliable. You will work with Business Intelligence, Data Science, Product and Marketing teams in designing data-centric applications and assist them in make data-driven decisions. WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO

Quickly and efficiently design and develop high-quality products in an Agile environment. Think through long-term impacts of key design decisions and handle failure scenarios

Leverage leading-edge technologies to support new and existing products and businesses

Drive projects through all stages, utilizing best practices, from idea to launch, including overall design, data sourcing, database design, app backend tier, app frontend, API/SDK.

Actively share knowledge and responsibility with other team members and teams

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

Strong knowledge and 3+ years experience in two of the following

Building production grade (high performance, horizontally scalable, reliable, monitored) applications and supporting infrastructure on technologies and frameworks such as Spark, Pub Sub, Dataflow, Cloud IAM, S3, GCS, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), Kafka, Kinesis, Stackdriver, Spring Boot, Microservice-based architecture etc.

Strong background in concept and design in data warehousing engineering. Proficient in SQL with the understanding of Database and Data Warehouse big-data solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Postgres.

Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages - Java, Scala, Python

Good analytical, problem-solving and technical skills. Good written and oral communication skills, ability to articulate, diagram and document. Shows empathy, takes initiative and ownership

Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) software development

Experience with CI/CD tools (JIRA, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.)

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with building reports and dynamic dashboards that render business (or engineering) KPIs in BI tools and frameworks like Tableau, Looker, etc

Experience in web browser technology stack (JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, e.g. the usual front-end suspects) caching layers, proxies, and other web services frameworks

Understanding of Android or IOS development, mobile marketing, paid digital media management, bidding platforms, analytics tools like Adjust and AppsFlyer and their SDKs, attribution, LTV, campaign performance, cohorts analysis, digital and programmatic advertising

GitHub, Stack Overflow, OSS contributions
