If so, SolarWinds has an opening for a Director of Engineering that might be a good fit for you. In this role, you will be responsible for building a new engineering team in Minsk / Belarus and collaborate closely with teams from the US, Europe and Asia.
SolarWinds has a diverse and growing portfolio of network and systems management products and we are growing our Minsk engineering team to meet the aggressive demands of our business in the rapidly evolving IT market.
As the Director of Engineering , you will be responsible for leading and growing a world-class team of software engineers. Building compelling software using solid engineering practices is the mantra of our worldwide engineering team and our Minsk office is one of the most important centers in our global engineering organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with scaling high-performing engineering teams and working with other international locations.

Direct the work of the product line software development teams Drive the strategic direction for the Minsk engineering team to align with the needs of the business Contribute to the overall engineering strategy of the company Supervise, mentor and grow members of the local management and engineering team Collaborate with architects, product managers and technical support to deliver high-quality, technically sound products on schedule with great user experience Drive all aspects of recruiting, including, but not limited to, attracting great talent and retaining a highly skilled, proficient engineering team Establish and maintain solid software engineering and project management practices Being part of the local senior managementQualifications
You are successfully managed a big R & D team You have a BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent You have 10+ years of experience designing, developing and shipping commercial software You have a solid understanding of agile software development processes You are able to communicate effectively across departments, to executives and with technical and non-technical audiences in English You have strong people management skills (able to coach and mentor both individual contributors and managers) You have strong project management skills and are able to work under pressure You lead by example and can spark passion and motivation the local team to give a stellar performance You are flexible and adaptable to growth of the company and regular changes in priorities You are driven and constantly seeking ways to improve yourself, the team, and the operation You love to get your hands Your prior programming experience in Java, C # or C ++ and understanding IT technologies (networking, virtualization, systems management, etc.) is advantage
