General Summary
The IEO Infrastructure and DevOps engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer who will contribute to the automation around tools supporting Dell EMC engineering teams. There are opportunities to automate infrastructure, platform, and application provisioning, deployment, management along with operational feature automation such as security, monitoring, alerting. This person will be responsible for leading the Tools Design and automation efforts while creating a highly efficient, metrics-driven, DevOps working model leveraging the aforementioned automation. We need a passionate individual who can scale across roles and is flexible to work with a diverse team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Ability and interest to work with a wide-range of tools and methodologies to understand business needs and requirements and understand how they can be achieved Integrate existing tools and services into the solid system Write scripts to automate processes Sphere of influence is likely to extend outside of work group or department Familiarity with both Cloud and On-Prem tools and development environments with scale and security as pillarsWork Experience and Education
1-3 years of experience Bachelor’s degree, Computer ScienceRequired Competencies (you should not know all tools described below, it would be great if you understand these technologies in general, have experience with some tools and have a passion to learn, use and improve them)
Enjoy and thrive in an agile, fast-moving, ever-changing environment Familiarity with Container Management, Virtualization and deployment services using Docker Familiarity with Configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus Familiarity with PaaS architectures like Mesos, Kubernetes, CloudFoundry Familiarity with logging systems like ELK Management of bug tracking tools like Jira, Rally Management of continuous integration servers like Jenkins, Bamboo, Concourse Management of source code servers like Git, Perforce Scripting skills, i.e., Python, Bash, etc.Joining us, you will get:
