Accountability

To provide projects with electrical and instrumentation drawings and related documents.

To check drawings and documents prepared by others within the E&I group.

Basic Functions

To prepare input to Scopes of Work.

To prepare Material Take-off’s and Bill of Materials.

To prepare and/or modify Electrical & Instrumentation Design Drawings from Engineering Data, Design Data and Vendor Data in accordance with Project / Company / Client Standards and Procedures.

To prepare and/or modify Electrical & Instrumentation Design Drawings using INtools (training will be provided, if required).

To check Drawings and Documents.

To carry out document searches via LiveLink and Documentum (training will be provided, if required).

Undertake Offshore Survival and Skyscape (training will be provided, if required).

Support the Electrical & Instrumentation Group offshore survey effort with offshore surveys, if required.

To prepare Electrical & Instrumentation Site Survey Scopes of Work and Site Survey Reports.

To carry-out minor calculations e.g. Small Power, Lightning and Trace Heating calculations

To carry out document searches via UNICA and Documentum.

Conversant with International Electrical Codes and Standards.

Plan workload and ensure effective and efficient delivery of the design team; maintain control on design team reimbursable hours and delivery against budget.

Principal Responsibilities

Ensures that team strictly operate within SEIC and PSN safety regulations & standards.

Understand the requirements of the design quality system and meticulously ensure that these requirements are met.

Is aware of and checks the interface between own discipline and other disciplines at all stages of the design.

Skills/Qualifications

Experience with Yokogawa / Honeywell DCS Systems, advantageous.

Commissioning and plant start-up, plant control optimisation, field experience.

Experience in the following technical areas: power Generation; Power Distribution, Switchgear; Protection, Drives, Trace Heating Design, Lighting Systems; Integrated Lighting Systems in Plant Design; Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Hazardous Area Equipment; Instrument and Control Systems, Field instruments and Equipment, Plant design, Safety Systems (ESD) safety by design, INtools; hydraulic and pneumatic hook-ups.

Experience of SPI (INtools), although training can be provided.

Proficient in the use of PDMS and Autocad.

Good interpersonal skills and keen learner.

Ability to integrate into an existing multicultural team

Work independently.

Liaise effectively between functions and disciplines.

Ability to motivate other team members to achieve common goals.

The candidate must have a good understanding of Electrical & Instrumentation Drawings and Electrical & Instrumentation Systems, within the Oil & Gas industry (previous Offshore Brownfield experience preferred but not essential).

The candidate will be able to operate as part of a small team, will demonstrate good safety awareness.

The candidate should have an ‘Adequate’ command of the English language. English training will be provided.

5+ years’ experience of an engineering design environment with experience of CAD packages.

1+ years’ experience on Drilling facilities

Additional experience of an Electrical & Instrumentation construction environment would be an advantage as is any formal qualification in the oil & gas industry.

An Engineering degree in Electrical or Instrumentation / Automation preferred.

Alternatively, a local qualification in oil & gas or any associated industry including pharmaceutical, food, marine shipping, building etc. would be considered along with relevant Design experience.

Terms and conditions:

Office-based position (not shift work or rotation), normal working hours - 40 hours per week, private medical insurance, annual legal travel compensation, 50% subsidized membership in the local fitness centres, English lessons provided.
