A leading engineering and consulting company is looking for Lead Instrumentation Engineer, Almaty

Responsibilities:

Lead preparation of Instrumentation & Automation engineering documentation (specifications, philosophies, equipment data sheets and etc) Lead engineering design activities for the Instrumentation & Automation Systems such as DCS, ESD, F&G system, RTU/PLC, instrument and cable routing layout, System Architecture and Control Room Layout Lead development of project specific engineering solutions without supervision in order to meet the project goals Lead processing of package-engineering (bid evaluation, vetting, expediting, commissioning support) Coordinate different process activities in the instrumentation team and in other engineering disciplines Lead organization, initiation, and follow-up of the project files and documentation, including maintaining the standard project files structure on project server Responsible to oversee all instrumentation related documents before being issued for Interdisciplinary Check and before submission to Clients Responsible to implement all required process related measures to ensure quality at source Train and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications:

Academic education to BSc. level minimum in instrumentation engineering or comparable education At least 10 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, ideally in the upstream oil and gas Experienced in technical consulting, planning and commissioning and familiar with all phases of EPC Contracts Advanced level of understanding of design calculations and result interpretation Advanced knowledge of computer based systems including, CAD, Database Management systems, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office or equivalent software packages Advanced knowledge and application of appropriate international and Kazakhstan’s engineering standards Sensitive to Client’s requirements and Client focused Proactive, a self-starter able to work without supervision Systematic thinker and good organizational skills / time management Strong personality with ability to be firm and persuasive without authority Team player within and across functions Fluent Russian and Englis
