The Operations Geologist role is a critical link between several disciplines in the office (Drilling, Geology, Geophysics, Formation Evaluation) and at the Wellsite, both in Atyrau and Tengiz. The basic requirements sought for this position are: solid geological background, familiarity with drilling and wireline logging operations, good command of English. The position will support drilling of new wells incident-free, coordinate geological activities such as call of section TD while drilling, mudlogging, core handling, wireline logging, fluid sample tracking and partner data distribution. It also supports the RMG department in the preparation of required well documentation, such as geologic programs and permit packages, including the generation of maps, cross sections, pressure predictions, subsurface hazard identification and presentations. The Operations Geologist works on a rotational basis in TCOV and reports to RMG Team Leader in Atyrau.
