- Responsibilities:
This position provides site supervision for small to medium scale construction projects specific to a particular discipline.
Projects range from simple to complex, multi-faceted and range in value from $250M to $5MM.
Supervision responsibilities include, onsite SAFETY audits, participation in NEAR MISS and SAFETY OBSERVATION programs. Assurance that all TCO and local governmental policies are enforced and adhered to
Essential Position Functions:
Participate in NEAR MISS and SAFETY OBSERVATION programs; Provide guidance to National Employees in selected discipline; Review job packs to ensure constructability of the work; Review material takeoffs to ensure all materials required for the job are available prior to start of the work; Monitor Contractors’ personnel to ensure adherence to safe work practices; Develop good working knowledge of contract terms and ensures Contractor compliance with contract terms & conditions; Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings (PFD, P & I D) for assigned discipline; Control quantity of Contractor equipment and personnel assigned to reimbursable jobs to maximize work execution efficiency and minimize overall cost; Monitor quality of construction work performed by Contractor and ensures adherence to project specifications, codes, and AFC drawings; Review Contractors’ time tickets and invoices for accuracy; Review accuracy of As-Built information supplied by the Contractor; Interface with the appropriate departments within TCO to obtain work permits; Interface with appropriate Project Engineer(s) on technical issues to ensure project objectives are met; Participate in final job reviews with Operations; Compile necessary project closeout information; Requirements:CIVIL
Identification of soil types Compaction procedures Procedures for trenching and shoring Concrete form and bar guidelines Concrete characteristics and testing procedures. Excavation procedures and controls De-watering methods. Confined space requirements Heavy lifting and rigging procedures Surveying and site engineering drawing interpretation.MECHANICAL
Visual weld inspection Knowledge in various welding codes ( ANSI B31.3, ASME Section 8) Identification of flange ratings Understanding of pipe, fitting and valve pressure and temperature limitations. Equipment alignment types and procedures Heavy lifting and rigging procedures. Must have a minimum of 5 years work experience in construction. Experience may be in construction, construction management, quality control, or commissioning.Working knowledge of industry codes governing work in assigned discipline. Familiar with industry codes governing work in other disciplines.
Experience in an International location is desirable. Supervising numerous small to medium sized projects is typical. Because of the complexity of the Tengiz facilities, a background of both upstream and downstream experience is desirable, but not a must. Experience with sour gas or processing facilities is also desirable.
Must have demonstrated leadership abilities.
Must have an understanding of project scheduling, cost tracking and contractor evaluations.
