Accountability

Accountable to the project SEIC Lead Civil/Structural Designer.

For all relevant design aspects of the Civil & Structural workscopes.

Basic Functions

To provide proficient PDMS CAD designer skills for the Civil & Structural group.

To undertake PDMS training and become proficient in PDMS use.

To assist in the compilation of BOM’s, specifications in addition to drawings.

To carry out document searches via UNICA and Documentum.

To become proficient in the understanding of and usage of Company and Client standards, procedures and practices.

To prepare Material Take-off’s and Bill of Materials.

Undertake Offshore Survival and Skyscape (training will be provided, if required).

Support the Civil & Structural Group offshore survey effort with offshore surveys, if required.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficient in civil/structural design as per basic functions.

Fully conversant with latest version of Auto-CAD software.

Knowledge of Word and Excel software.

The candidate will be a keen learner will be motivated to improve self and to accept tuition from the senior Civil & Structural team members

Required to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Able to communicate / interface with project team and engineering personnel.

The candidate must have an awareness Civil & Structural Drawings.

The candidate will be able to operate as part of a small team, will demonstrate good safety awareness.

The candidate should have an ‘Adequate’ command of the English language. English training will be provided.

Design & Engineering experience in the following industries would be an advantage;

On shore Petrochemical plants.

Large complex industrial projects,

Large manufacturing plants.

Off-shore production facilities.

Oil and gas experience, pipelines, pumping stations, Auto Cad, any 3-D modelling experience.

The candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an engineering design environment and preferably some experience of PDMS or equivalent CAD package.

Additional experience of an Civil/Structural construction environment would be an advantage as is any formal qualification in the oil & gas industry.

An Engineering Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural preferred.

A local qualification in oil & gas or any associated industry including pharmaceutical, food, marine shipping, building etc. would be an advantage.

Office based position (not rotation), normal working hours - 40 hours per week, private medical insurance, annual legal travel compensation, 50% subsidized membership in the local fitness centres, English lessons provided, employment by Russian subcontractor company "Gazproektengineering".
