Development and Production International (DPI) is responsible for Equinor’s portfolio of producing assets and planned field developments in all countries outside Norway and Brazil. DPI's intent is to build and grow a competitive international portfolio - always safe, high value and low carbon. DPI’s operates across six continents and implements rigorous safety standards, technological innovations and environmental awareness.

Equinor has been present in Russia with office in Moscow for nearly 30 years. Equinor and Rosneft have established a Joint Venture Company, LLC Sevkomneftegaz (SKN), which is the license holder and operator for North-Komsomolskoye (NK). NK is an onshore oil and gas field located in Western Siberia in Russia near the town of Gubkinsky. The field has significant in-place volumes, but the reservoir is challenging.
Equinor has a 33.33% ownership and several positions in the company.
The full field development will involve engineering and construction of a processing plant, pipelines, utility functions and drilling of many wells. The field will be developed as a Smart field with high degree of automation and digitalization. The position in located in the SKN Facilities Planning and Design Team in Gubkinsky.

Job Description

Main tasks for the position are as follows:

Be driving force for implementation of Smart field solution ensuring a safe, high value and energy efficient production automation and optimisation system.

Evaluate status of digitalization, Smart field developments in Rosneft, Equinor and other operators and propose implementations and ways to improve design of NK.

Ensure consistent system design and interface control.

Be the point of contact towards, do follow-up of, supervise and control the specialized institute for design, engineering documentation and cost estimates for the automation systems (conceptual studies, DED and detail design (ТЭО, ПСД, РД)).

Proactively follow-up the implementation of Technical Requirements for Data Management System in design of facilities. Propose improvements.

Ensure the automation system follows all relevant requirements for industrial safety, protection of labour and environment (HSE).

Acquire approval of deviations from technical requirements if needed.

Ensure state approvals for automation systems, e.g. GGE (ГГЭ).

In collaboration with departments and interfacing disciplines, define and document the most optimal solutions for design within own discipline.

Take part in making the technical assignment and invitation to tender for design works and relevant equipment.

Participate in technical evaluation of tenderers.

Carry out start-up meeting with suppliers, including review of scope of work to make sure mutual understanding and alignment.

Give input on automation-activities to calendar planning for planning and progress reporting of the total project.

Verify quality according to design documentation during commissioning of automation systems.

Give support during operation and maintenance of automation systems to ensure maximum regularity and cost-efficient operation and maintenance.

Provide input to the project risk matrix, take part in defining mitigating actions and follow-up accordingly.

Carry out forecasting, progress reporting and report any deviations from agreed plan.

Execute actions which you are responsible for in a timely manner.

Compile experience reports and update best practices.

Collaborate closely with Subsurface, Drilling, Facilities, Operations, design institutes and potential suppliers to identify different technical solutions within own discipline based on requirements and defined selection criteria (economy, HSE, schedule, etc.).

Contribute to a good working environment within SKN and with contractors.

Qualifications

Technical education at specialist or master level.

Minimum 8 years relevant experience.

In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, governing documentation, design norms and specifications.

Excellent multi-discipline and value chain understanding.

Proven track-record from facilities planning, design works, operations and maintenance from onshore oil fields in Russia and/or abroad.

Experience from developing Smart fields.

Fluent in Russian and in English, orally and in writing.

Willing to relocate: Actual workplace is Gubkinsky. Training will be organized in Moscow and Norway. After a period of introduction and initial training, the employee will be assigned to the Joint Venture company SKN in Gubkinsky in Western Siberia. Other locations and JV assignments in Russia may be relevant at a later stage.
