ABOUT THE JOB
In the role as Unit P&C Manager you will be responsible for efficient, effective and consistent execution of all People activities in the store by acting as a business partner to store management team.
You will:
• Be a business partner to management team in the store, responsible for execution of all People activities for co-workers in the store;
• Ensure the People strategy, global principles/guidelines and relevant business plans relate and come together in a local People action plan that is operationally implemented and lived up to;
• Influence managers in the store to continuously develop leadership capabilities and business competence within their function according to business needs;
• Responsible for working with Recruitment & Sourcing function in identifying and driving the opportunities to develop the relevant offer of IKEA as a local employer;
• Responsible for ensuring a qualitative and up-to-date succession plan by influencing managers in taking the lead with special focus on talents and high-performing potentials, making use of global tools and processes for succession planning ;
• Together with Business Navigator deliver a local staff cost budget which secures a diverse, appropriate staff structure and meets the defined business and productivity goals in the unit;
• Ensure the people planning process delivers to the needs of the business while continuously seeking and coordinating business opportunities through optimised people planning that is focused on IKEA co-workers, customers and the IKEA business with IKEA values at core.
• Ensure health and safety environment for co-workers, visitors, customers in the store.
• Responsible for implementing a co-worker relations plan that effectively manages all local interactions with co-workers and ensures that all areas in the unit work with the labour relations principles and uphold local policies, procedures and laws – working in collaboration with Co-worker Relations Manager.
