SUMMARY:
EducationUSA provides comprehensive resources for Russian students, teachers, and individuals interested in education in the United States, as well providing assistance for U.S. universities and colleges seeking to work with Russian students and institutions of higher education. The position, based in Moscow, starts in November 2018.The Position is part-time, based on 20 hours per week.
We are looking for a bold and creative individual who can build a program that will find and help support Russians interested in applying for graduate programs at US universities (PhD and MA/MSc degrees) to succeed. If you understand the U.S. graduate application system and are passionate about higher education, this is a job for you.
Primary responsibilities:
Online Programming – 20%
In the framework of a Graduate advising program and Graduate cohort program prepare email marketing content for a graduate-level newsletters and all-Russia newsletter. Monitor a general adviser email account once a week Conduct Live Webinars with U.S. universities per agreed schedule. Execute preparatory stages for webinars when needed as back up for other advisers.In-center Programming - 20%
Conduct general or graduate-level presentations on a monthly basis as per agreed schedule Initiate and supervise graduate-level new initiatives (cohorts) Take part in preparation and execution of the PDO in Moscow CenterGraduate Student Consultations - 10%
Conduct online group and individual consultations for graduate students as needed Conduct in-center group and individual consultations for graduate students as neededLocal and Regional Outreach – 10%
Set up presentations and manage local education fairs and outreach across Russia as per agreed schedule Visit and present EdUSA at higher education fairs in Moscow and regions (category A), as well as at least one Access Camp to present on U.S. higher education opportunities, Opportunity Funds and Competitive College Club (Pre-CCC) as per agreed scheduleAdministrative and Colleague Support - 40%
Update all PowerPoint presentations for graduate level advising as per corporate standards (visual presentation only) Update 120 Credits sections for graduate students Develop the foundation for graduate advising and graduate cohort groups. Contribute data and materials for the development of the Corporate Reference Library 2019 Provide content for the posts associated with Graduate advising and agree on budgeting with SMM (except for VSFS interns; Best practices cycle and USHEI planned outreach) Add new events to the activity tracker and complete statistics for Moscow-based and online graduate programming conducted (limited to own performance) Update main google calendar (activities) as per guidelines in the legend (limited to own performance) Follow all reporting as per Activities and Reporting Protocol (limited to own performance) Assist colleagues with programming and outreach issues (limited to own performance)QUALIFICATIONS:
University graduate with a degree in relevant field (Education, International Relations, Social Sciences, Linguistics, or other appropriate field); U.S. degree preferred Complete Professional Fluency in Russian and English (oral and written) Complete proficiency with online and technology tools and ability to develop new skills as needed Demonstrates progressively advanced levels of responsibility in previous work Familiarity with graduate U.S. higher education and international education; Physical ability to carry 10kg of materials (fairs, events, etc), and to travel periodically within Russia Flexibility Strong communication, public speaking skills (experience in speaking to various audiences) Leadership skills (coaching)
