Architectural Designer

Who we are?

Vogelkop is a design-led residential development and homebuilding company. We work on new houses and major renovations and usually have several projects running at the same time. We already work with local architects and engineers for permitting and stamps, but we need someone who handles the day-to-day design and documentation work internally.

The goal of this role is to become our internal design engine - someone who can take direction (vision, constraints, budget) and turn it into clear, buildable architectural work.

What will you do?

• Turn project ideas and requirements into real, buildable architectural drawings


• Create plans, elevations, sections, details, and full drawing sets that builders can price and construct from


• Build and maintain clean 3D models of projects


• Design interior spaces, especially bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas


• Prepare layouts, tile elevations, built-ins, millwork ideas, and finish concepts


• Research real materials online, compare options, check prices, and verify lead times


• Make sure designs use materials and solutions that can actually be built


• Work with local U.S. architects and engineers who handle permitting and stamps


• Update drawings and handle revisions as projects evolve


• Keep project drawings, models, and files organized


• Support multiple projects at once, including new homes and major renovations


• Help develop repeatable house templates, design standards, and a detail library over time


• Contribute to building a catalog of modern residential plans as the company grows

• Bathrooms, kitchens, and interiors are designed with real materials that can actually be sourced and installed


• Drawings, models, and files stay organised, up to date, and easy to use across multiple projects


• Revisions and updates happen quickly, keeping projects moving without delays


• Coordination with U.S. architects and engineers runs smoothly, helping speed up permitting and construction


• The team can run several projects at once without design work becoming a bottleneck


• Over time, a library of details, templates, and repeatable house plans starts to form


• The role becomes a reliable internal design engine that consistently turns vision into practical architectural work

Role Details

• Full-time, remote role.
  You work directly with the director and architects and are trusted with real ownership.


• Compensation depends on experience and execution level.
  Long-term growth and expanded responsibility are expected for the right person.

Required Experience

• 1-5+ years of experience in architecture or architectural design


• Open to junior candidates, but they must have practical experience (internships, trainee roles, or real project work)


• Also open to mid-level architects/designers with experience working on residential or interior projects


• Experience producing architectural drawings such as plans, elevations, sections, and basic details


• Experience working with 3D models and design documentation


• Some exposure to real construction projects, renovations, or residential design


• Ability to translate ideas into clear, buildable drawings


• Portfolio showing real work or academic projects (housing, renovations, interiors, etc.)
