As a Financial controller/Chief accountant in our company, you will influence accounting and tax groups report directly to the Regional Financial Controller for Europe and Russia responsible for 2 main areas: local accounting compliance and accounting services – central delivery of accounting services provided in Russia working under the governance of the main regional share service center in Poland.

Responsibilities:

Directly responsible for:

• Strong financial controls and a risk management framework are applied within the region

• Statutory financial statements preparation and external audit coordination

• Other External reporting requirements (Currency control, statistical reporting, others)

• International tax transactions settlements (Import, Export, Intra-community)

• Financial support of subsidiary agreements: reporting, control of conditions

• Income tax accounting e.g. Deferred tax calculations and packages

• Subject matter expert knowledge for differences between local GAAP and US GAAP i.e.to support the Russian central accounting team and Polish shared service centers accounting teams for US GAAP adjustment bookings.

Working with the Direct tax group:

• Preparation of direct tax returns – organization and coordination between with the Russian central accounting team, Polish shared service center, plant locations, and direct tax group to prepare data for the direct tax return.

• Support and deploy needs around tax strategy execution

• Ensure appropriate transfer price application and respective documentation is in place

Working with the Indirect tax group:

• Preparation of indirect tax returns – organization and coordination between with the Russian central accounting team, Polish shared service center, plant locations, and indirect tax group to prepare data for the indirect tax return.

• Support and deploy needs around tax strategy execution

2. Accounting Services

Directly responsible for:

• Within the Russian region central delivery of accounting services that are not performed by the Polish shared service center. This will contain elements of processes for:

Working with the shared service center stream leads:

• Continuous search of areas for improvement, creating and improving internal procedures to great value and eliminate waste

Other

• Drive business transformation initiatives in the region related to finance service placement, process, and technology

Skills:

• Preferred: higher education: economics, finance, accounting

• Strong knowledge of Russian accounting standards and preferred Russian tax knowledge (at least a core understanding of CIT, VAT etc.)

• Preferred: Prior leadership (supervisory) experience

• Preferred: Experience in a multi-site, if not multinational environment to deliver compliance-based services to multiple locations in different countries

• Preferred: Past experience with finance transformation within Russia

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel,

• Very good knowledge of English that allows free communication in speaking and writing

• Communicate effectively (verbal & written) within the department, plant and regional organizations

• Independence and a very good organization of own work,

• High analytical skills to draw meaningful conclusions and allow the interpretation of results

• Mobility and openness to periodically Travel International when needed, as well as the potential to relocate to another business location in the future.
